Injuries in a shooting incident at a hospital in New York

At least two people were wounded by gunfire in a hospital in New York City on Friday, local media reported.

NBC New York, quoting unnamed sources, said the authorities were dealing with an active shooter in a New York City hospital where at least two people were injured.

According to the report, units of the New York City Police (NYPD) and the City Fire Department (FDNY) moved to deal with the shooting incident at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital on the Grand Concourse Road.

The site said that members of the most heavily armed units in New York were sent to the scene.
