Talks with North Korea going well ahead of summit: Donald Trump
WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un had been "very honorable" and that discussions ahead of a planned meeting between the two leaders were going well.
"We have been told directly that they would like to have the meeting as soon as possible, and we think that's a great thing for the world," Trump told reporters during a meeting with French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron at the White House.
"We're having ... very good discussions. Kim Jong Un, he really has been very open and I think very honorable from everything we're seeing," Trump added.
Trump has said he could meet with Kim in late May or June.
The United States is pressing North Korea to denuclearize and has said it would keep up a policy of "maximum pressure" on Pyongyang to achieve that goal.
South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Thursday North Korea had expressed a commitment to "complete denuclearization" of the Korean peninsula, and North Korea said on Saturday it would immediately suspend nuclear and missile tests.

This was bound to be the outcome from when Trump declared that the "era of strategic patience was over." This signaled a change of policies of the past, decades.
If this ends in a return to peace for Korea, I would argue that Trump deserves a Nobel Peace prize.
Which would be ironic that the tension coming from North Korea could be defused with a big d@ck joke. (My button is bigger and it works) Not what you would expect for the response of a "crazed dictator."
I believe that despite his strong trump character, he has been a leader that before every step he has taken, I think that first he has gone to dialogue, before Syria, Iraq, the warning to those countries that desisted, he did not do it then I act,
In the case of Korea it is a country that for them death and pride is above all else does not mind dying to duck its head, and really if trump gets to dialogue, it made a very important achievement that avoid a worse disaster
