Because It Sounds Nice

Will we ever stop hearing folks like Bernie and AOC carry on about communism and socialism, most probably not and I have a few idea or thoughts as to why. Well for one, they both sound pretty nice, communism sounds like community, every one together and the same goes for socialism, it's social right must be awesome right? Have you ever tried doing things in a group, like picking what film you should watch or what food you should eat, those things become harder the bigger the group becomes. A classic example of how difficult it is for people to agree on something a simple as a colour, was the photo of a dress that went viral in 2015. However nothing really happens when people don't agree on the colour of something, there's a far more detrimental outcome when we have a political system ruled by the community. What you get is essentially mob rule or a nicer way of putting it would be a true democracy, which is in no way a good thing. The reason being is that now people can just vote for anything they want, and get it because the community has decided.

The problem is that even laws are now subject to the will of the people, things like property rights and even human rights, and what advocates of communism and socialism never explain is how to get to their perfect utopia. What if the minority don't want their rights and freedoms infringed upon or their property taken, there is no law that protects them in this social utopia. Another part of both socialism and communism is the idea that it will eliminate the state, money and inequality, which is impossible because you would need to eliminate human greed and desire for power. The only way to get to socialism and communism is by force, which is why it has the worst track record to date, somewhere between 100 to 180 million people dead. But for some unknown reason there are people who think we should give it another try, which is like a thousand times worse than suggesting we trying Nazism again. Ironically that was called national socialism, but try getting an advocate of socialism to acknowledge empirical truth.
