Other 5 accused

Six accused in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case Apart from Khaleda Zia, the other five accused are Tarique Rahman, son of former BNP lawmaker Kazi Salimul Haque alias Kazi Kamal, former prime minister's chief secretary Kamal Uddin Siddiqui, businessman Sharfuddin Ahmed and BNP founder Ziaur Rahman's brother-in-law Mominur Rahman.

Tareq Rahman went to the UK on November 20, 2008, with the permission of the court for bail and treatment among these five. He has not returned yet. The court therefore issued an arrest warrant for his bail plea.

Kamal Uddin Siddiqui and Mominur Rahman started from the beginning. Kazi Salimul Haque and Sharfuddin Ahmed were arrested. They were sent to jail after the verdict was announced yesterday.
