What is the most breathtaking fact written in the Quran?

1.Big Bang

“Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?” (21:30) Quran

Arabic word “Rathkan” means inseparable which is mentioned in Quran in the verse discussing status before big bang.

Word “Fathaq” means unleash or form something new from external forces. So this is the exact definition of process of big bang as explained by modern scientists.

2.Spider’s House

“The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the flimsiest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew” (29:41) Quran

Quran mentioned “Itthaqazath” which is a feminine version of spider which “female spider built”. So Quran said this house is the flimsiest of houses.

Now recent studies astonishing found these facts are true and female spiders do kill their partners after intimacy.

3.Embryology

“Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators.” (23:14) Quran

Arabic word “Mulhgah” which is also mentioned in other places meaning “partly formed and partly unformed”. Expression of Quran “lump of chewed meat” exactly as discovered by science.

4.Moving while Sleeping

Recent discovery reveals that people who lying down in the same position for long time, encounters serious health problems such as circulation issue and blood clotting. This creates pressure sores and consequently oxygen and other nutrition carried by blood fail to reach skin and skin begins to die. Thus changing position of the body constantly help to be safe.

“And you would think them awake, while they were asleep. And We turned them to the right and to the left, while their dog stretched his forelegs at the entrance. If you had looked at them, you would have turned from them in flight and been filled by them with terror.” (18:18) Quran

This chapter of Quran is about few young guys whom Allah made asleep for 300 years

While they sleeping for such a long time, Quran did mentioned “we turned them to the right and left” which not required to be mentioned without a scientific importance

5.Ears Active During Sleep

Science discovered that Only organ which is active during sleep is our ears. That's why we always need clock alarm for waking up. Other parts not rally active during sleep

“So We cast [a cover of sleep] over their ears within the cave for a number of years.” (18:11) Quran

In this story of people of cave Allah could have mentioned “we mad them sleep”. But Allah mentioned “we cast cover over their ears” making sleeping for 300 years logical.

6.Movement of Mountains

The plates make up Earth's outer shell, called the lithosphere. The movement of the plates creates three types of tectonic boundaries: convergent, where plates move into one another; divergent, where plates move apart; and transform, where plates move sideways in relation to each other. They move at a rate of one to two inches (three to five cms) per year

“And you see the mountains, thinking them rigid, while they will drift as the drift of clouds. [It is] the work of Allah, who perfected all things. Indeed, He is Acquainted with that which you do.” (27:88) Quran

“Drift” is the similar word used by Quran and scientists

Quran said it looks as though rigid as we all including scientists till 1980 thought it was rigid

7.Reduction of Earth from its Outline

Earth is of course reducing in its size even thought at a very small rate.

“Have they not seen that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? And Allah decides; there is no adjuster of His decision. And He is swift in account.” (13:41) Quran

This “we are reducing” means it’s still reducing

This reduction can also referred to reduction in land due to melting of ice which is the concern of the day
