Russia isn't playing games. Whenever an opportunity presents itself to undermine the hegemony of the USD they will take it. This pursuit has only been expedited by the recent US sanctions against Russia and the US public's misguided distrust for Russia.
It is a shame that Russia is the new political scapegoat for all wrongdoings in US politics. They are doing some fantastic work in the financial world, sitting at a debt-GDP ratio of only 17% whereas the US is at a ratio of 105%. In other words, Russia is running a more sustainable economic policy all while the US is placing overly aggressive sanctions against them and depressing the prices of oil and commodities, which is Russia's entire economy.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a Russia-fanboy (plenty of wrongdoings over there as well). However, I do think their financials are more responsible than our own despite oil and commodities being in a nasty bear market, and I think that a more friendly US-Russia relationship would benefit everyone across the board. Well, except for China and weapons manufacturers. You know, the good guys haha.
Yes I agree with you and that Russia is getting lot of sanctions is as well because Putin kicked out Rothschild. For sure it would be better for the rest of the world if there would be a more friendly US-Russia relationship. Thanks for all the input and your opinion.
