A team of scientists from the Czech Technical University in Prague have found a method to extract water from the air, using a solar-powered facility.
The first prototype of the so-called "Solar Air Water Energy Resource" has the capacity to produce about 100 liters of drinking water per day anywhere on the planet, including the desert.
These mobile equipment can greatly facilitate the life of those places where water is a scarce asset, or facilitate the work of civil or military missions in places that require an emergency water source.
The test will be held near Abu Dhabi and will last about six months, because it is necessary to have information with data from summer, autumn and winter.
The prototype has cost about US $ 400,000, which means that for now the extracted water goes out to more than 10 dollars per liter, in the first year, the guisky is cheaper at the moment but everything will run.
