The huge volume of data that is handled today, requires more and more calculation capacity for the application of AI techniques, such as ‘machine learning’.

Therefore, we are investigating how to accelerate these procedures by applying quantum computing algorithms, creating a discipline known as ‘Quantum Machine Learning’ (QML).

One of the characteristics of this calculation system is that it allows to represent multiple states at the same time, which is particularly suitable in the use of AI techniques.

In this area there are already several QML proposals that promise an exponential acceleration of some of the most famous algorithms in this field and some types of neural networks.

Some of the first applications that are already being investigated are focused on fields such as materials science and later on will be the design of medicines.
