Edge computing: a closer cloud

Cloud computing is preparing for the next phase, instead of large centralized data centers we move to more local computing and storage, in what has been called "edge computing."

This technology allows to offer lower latency, more efficient communication and greater security, which will allow new applications impossible to perform with current technology, such as augmented reality or autonomous driving.

Another field in which this technology will be very useful is the management of the huge amount of data that will result in the implementation of 5G and the "Internet of things" (IoT).

This will also imply a greater decentralization of the data that can be stored and processed closer to our solution instead of in the cloud, we have no idea where that data is.
