AutoX, the Chinese brand that wants to compete with Waymo

In November 2017, Waymo, the autonomous car division of Google, became the first company to put a vehicle into circulation without a driver on the roads open to California traffic.

Although other companies such as Tesla or Uber also pursued this objective, it seems that they have been advanced by AutoX, the company supported, among others, by Alibaba, which has already applied for the license to the Department of Motor Vehicles (Patty and Selma Bouvier) of California.

At the moment, the entity has 100 autonomous cars destined for the tests that are being carried out in up to ten different cities, including Shanghai, Shenzhen and San José in California.

This will undoubtedly annoy the large companies mentioned and make them nervous, which will accelerate the creation and deployment of fully autonomous vehicles.

I hope we can see them circulating on our roads sooner rather than later.
