The media merely took ONE small sentence out of the entire statement the was made by India’s finance minister Arun Jaitley, made during his most recent budget speech in the Parliament, Feb.1.

The Mainstream Media stated: 

“The government does not recognise cryptocurrency as legal tender or coin and will take all measures to eliminate the use of these cryptoassets in financing illegitimate activities or as part of the payments system.”
