The developers of Segwit2x have confirmed the number of the unit on which they intend to conduct bitcoin bitcoin

Developers Segwit2x - a controversial plan to increase the bandwidth of the network bitcoin - confirmed the number of the unit, which is planned to host the hardcore and start producing blocks of 2Mb.

This is stated in a fresh recording by Jeff Garzick on Github. It follows that the Segwit2x hardflock should take place at block 494,784 in November 2017.

The message in many respects repeats the information which the developer Segwit2x Jean-Pierre Rupp published last week.

"In November 2017, approximately 90 days after the activation of Segregated Witnesses in the bitcoin battle unit, a block with a size of 1Mb to 2Mb will be generated with the aim of increasing the network bandwidth. It is expected that by that time more than 90% of the computing capacity providing the work of the bitcoin network will continue to mine large blocks, "the report said.
It is also recalled that the increase in the block size to 2MB, agreed by the participants of the New York Agreement in May of this year, was first discussed at the Round table in Hong Kong. Both agreements stipulated that Segwit will be first implemented, and after that the block size will be increased to 2Mb.

Now that Segwit is fixed and should be activated early next week, the Segwit2x working group believes that the ecosystem participants will prepare for the second part of the Segwit2x and at some stage update their software.

It should be noted that according to the plan Segwit2x according to not all the community. Critics recall that the New York Agreement was adopted behind closed doors without broad discussions and reflects the interests of business representatives in the first place.
