Information on the Upcoming Ultra High-End 16Core/32thread AMD Ryzen CPU leaked!

The recently released AMD Ryzen series of processors have taken the CPU market by storm. The CPUs that have been released include three 8 core/16 thread parts which have been aggressively priced to tackle Intel's high-end offerings.

A new even faster Ryzen?

A new rumor has been surfing the inter-webs which suggests that AMD might release a 16core/32thread CPU later this year or maybe early next year. Folks over at Canard PC hardware and Chiphell have revealed that AMD plans to release a new High-End Desktop Platform (HEDT) with-in the next few months. Sources are stating that this platform might be revealed at Computex later this year.

Specifications

The processor will run on a new High-end Chipset called the X399, which will offer support for Quad-Channel DDR4 memory and will utilize an LGA (Land Grid Array) SP3r2 socket, which will probably be related to the AMD server series like the LGA-2011 from Intel. The frequency of the said 16core/32thread processor will vary from 2.4GHz-2.8GHz (probably higher in the final SKUs), and will be offered in a 150W package.

The following tweet from Canard PC reveals all the details. Usually, leaks like this are to be taken with a grain of salt, but Canard and Chiphell are known to be a quite reliable source of latest leaks, so the probability of this being a real processor and platform is really good.
