Narcotics Courier Wants Rp. 300 Million to Be Seized
Jakarta - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) together with Customs and Excise arrested 4 couriers of the Malaysia-Aceh network in Penjaringan, North Jakarta. The four couriers were paid Rp. 300 million once.
One person can get Rp. 50 million. So per kilo is around Rp. 30 per kg, then there are those who get Rp. 50 million. So they get Rp. 300 million, said BNN Chief Comr. Gen. Heru Winarko at BNN Building, Cawang, East Jakarta, Friday (6/22/2018).
The four couriers had the initials AL (36), AB (46), MU (41) and KS (36). The four couriers were arrested while smuggling 10 kilograms of methamphetamine from Malaysia through the Aceh-Palembang sea route to Jakarta on Friday 1 June 2018. Savu was stored in the speaker box to fool the officers.
The four were secured by the BNN team when they met at the gate of the Muara Baru Port gate, Penjaringan. The National Narcotics Agency confiscated 18 china tea packs stored in speaker boxes with a brutal weight of 9,976 grams, Heru said.
Heru explained that the four couriers had their respective duties. The courier with the initials AL was assigned to bring the methamphetamine from Palembang to Jakarta. Whereas AB, MU and KS played the role of receiving and taking him to Surabaya.
Heru said the BNN is still hunting down another actor with the initials LB. LB was allegedly the person who ordered to send the shabu.
There is one person who is a DPO. What is clear is that the syndicate is here. We have also collaborated with the Malaysian PM, explained Heru.
For his actions the four suspects were caught in Article 114 paragraph (2), Article 112 paragraph (2) jo Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics with a maximum sentence of capital punishment or life imprisonment.
Previously reported, the National Narcotics Agency in cooperation with Customs arrested four people who smuggled methamphetamine from Aceh in Penjaringan, North Jakarta on Friday (1/6). In this arrest, the 10 kg sabu was confiscated by the officer.
Narcotics were sent by road from Aceh to Palembang. Narcotics (methamphetamine) was hidden in a sound system tube, said the Deputy of BNN Eradication, Inspector General Arman Depari in his statement on Monday (11/6).
