Dolphin Disaster

in #news6 years ago

Valentines Day brought terrible tragedy in the U.S. of America, so you probably missed an eco-tragedy in neighbouring Mexico…

The federal environmental protection agency of Mexico, reports that 54 of the marine mammals came onshore in the area of La Paz Bay, on a rocky beach along the coast of Baja California Sur state. Workers attended to the dolphins and saved 33 of them, but unfortunately 21 of them died…

Now, before someone jokingly asks who of our fellow Steemians from Mexico has took dolphin hunting for serious, we should explore what could be the real reasons of such tragedy. For example, using active sonar on submarines (or warships, or sonar buoys…) could scare dolphins to death and force them to search escape on the shores. If it is so, do we really need another arms race?

What else could force them to this suicidal attempt? Industrial waste? Radiation? What do you think?

this is very sad news for us, wrold is going to end very slowely

This is very tragedic..

so sad :(
