Your Friends Are Freaking out about Net Neutrality. Send them this Letter
Dear Friend,
Please stop freaking over net neutrality.
The internet is not over as we know it. What we all want is the best quality internet for the cheapest prices. Net neutrality never fixed the real issue.
Municipalities’ contracts with cable companies limiting to one provider in most areas.
Municipalities’ telecom regulations limiting to only one provider.
Municipalities’ regulation controls resulting in high cost of entry for any competitor who wants to lay new infrastructure. This created a barrier to entry for any new company to come into the marketplace.
Telecom, Cable, and Satellite lobbying to prevent newer technologies from entering the market using the FCC.
The lack of competition, resulting in higher costs, poorer service, lower quality, and subjecting the consumer from having any real choice if they do not like any type of pricing or QOS their provider offers, is the real concern.
We should all be fighting against the restrictions and corruption that prevents competition to be available, regardless if you associate with the left of right.
I still love you, though. I just want you to stop freaking out.
