John McCain's Awkward Questioning of FBI Director James Comey
I just listened to Comey's testimony. I'm not going to comment yet because there's a lot more to come. I do want to ask about John McCain though. His several minutes of questioning were downright painful to listen to. I've never heard anything like that from a member of Congress. I hate to say this, but it almost sounded as though he's starting to suffer from some sort of memory loss problems.
He consistently referred to "Mr. Comey" when he meant "Mr. Trump," which made things confusing enough. On a few occasions though, he referred to "President Comey"--even more baffling. He lost his train of thought multiple times as well.
The biggest issue though was that he simply didn't seem able to wrap his mind around the fact that there were two separate investigations, one into Hillary's e-mail server use and one--completely unrelated--into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. He wanted to try to illustrate a double standard by showing that the Hillary "part" of the investigation wrapped up while the Trump "part" continued. Comey kept reminding him that those were separate investigations about separate topics that were in different stages. Hillary wasn't being investigated for possible collusion just like Trump wasn't being investigated for e-mail use.
Even until the very end of his time, however, McCain never seemed to grasp that those were separate investigations. He seemed to be asserting that they were the same investigation and that one person was prematurely cleared. It was difficult to hear. I really feel badly for him. His line of questioning was a complete waste because he never could understand how many investigations there were nor their natures. The only other conclusion one could reach is that he so badly wanted to show a double standard that he was willing to blatantly lie, but surely we all know that McCain isn't a man who would do something like that.
Did others hear all of this and cringe?

I never cared for McCain when he had all his faculties. Now that his mental capacity is so obviously failing him, he is doubly dangerous in his war first mentality. The world needs far less say so from people like McCain and his girlfriend Graham.

I have this conspiracy theory that most politicians get doxxed and they are essentially blackmailed to rule a certain way.
It's basically the reason why we have the Tom Woods Law #3: No Matter who you vote for, you get 'John McCain'.
