In NYC, Stop-and-Frisk Was Stopped, Yet Crime Fell
Good news for civil libertarians and New Yorkers
Logically, it makes sense. If you are stopping and frisking a lot of people, the instances of finding illegal things (or the LE escalating the stop to find something else) will increase. Stop frisking, lower 'crime' based on the statistics alone.
Not that I agree with Stop and Frisk, just that the numbers did exactly what we should expect. Also, fewer victim-less crimes and civil liberties violations. Win win.
