#CNNBlackmail - CNN Threatens To Dox Reddit "Trump WWE Meme" Creator - We Have Entered The Media Twilight Zone

in #news7 years ago (edited)

Although the mainstream US news continues to fall into complete irrelevance and obscurity, being at this point mostly watched by ideologues with no critical thinking (and our parents), it continues to remind us it is not going to go without a fight far more childish than we might have ever expected.

After President Trump tweeted this (well-deserved) victory-lap-gif of himself bodyslamming a photoshopped CNN in a meme:

...all hell broke loose over at CNN's last few firing neurons.

Given CNN is on its last shred of credibility, (if it has any left at all,) naturally it concluded what any reasonable journalism empire would: let's attack someone totally unrelated to this issue to distract from the obvious truth behind the satire.

So, of course CNN decided to dox the Reddit user who made this meme, one "HanAssholeSolo", who has in no way any connection to Trump, so that they can distract from the ongoing PR nightmare that is this video from last week:

The good stuff starts at 1m33s.

CNN Producer:

"American voters are stupid as shit"
"But, all the nice and cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school you're just like, that's adorable. That's adorable. This is a business."

CNN is utterly without shame, as they continue to host a post essentially bragging about how they doxxed poor Han:

"The apology came after CNN's KFile identified the man behind "HanAssholeSolo." Using identifying information that "HanAholeSolo" posted on Reddit, KFile was able to determine key biographical details, to find the man's name using a Facebook search and ultimately corroborate details he had made available on Reddit."

""It's your money, use it when you need it." Oh, shit guys, that's not the Lending Tree adroll, that's for J. G. Wentworth! Dump out to the delay!"

We have what used to be a major news network gleefully reporting here about how they are Facebook stalking a guy named "HanAssholeSolo".

Here they are continuing to "report" on their own idiotic obsession with this meme:

Yeah, it raises questions alright, like how any of you partisan hacks aren't already buying your Cup O' Noodles with EBT cards.

I'm not sure it would be possible for them to more rapidly destroy their own credibility.

Well, at least not after last week. But, perhaps they'll figure something out:

And if they don't, I'm sure Salon.com will:

"CNN is learning the hard way that when you try to be nice to pro-Trump trolls, they do not reciprocate the gratitude."
"It has also led to people claiming that CNN’s act of kindness constituted literal illegal blackmail."
...
...
"be nice to"
"act of kindness"

Salon, I'm not at all surprised that you have no idea what these phrases actually mean in English.

Oh, Salon.com, are you like some sort of idiocy-bodyguard who leaps in front of the bullet of reason when CNN is threatened?

Sources: ibankcoin.com YT Channel; Normally I'd cite CNN's own articles, but you know what, F you CNN.

Sort:

it boggles the mind how a simple joke/meme could become the center of so much attention by CNN staff investigators...it would be better if they helped spread the message that Twitter is like any other words - sometimes words are a joke, and sometimes they are serious...it's the context, and CLARIFICATION that matters. Lot's of work for the media to do to CLARIFY any ambiguous meanings (although this particular case was an obvious joke!). They are paid (by the attention given to ads) to inform the public, not to make things MORE unclear. Just my opinion.
