And someone else in this context warned that a too strong president wil be the end of American democracy.
But don't ask me who that was.
And the problem hasn't really been that the president has been grabbing power, it's that congress keeps voluntarily giving it up. They want someone else to make the decisions so they have someone to blame when things go wrong and it doesn't cause them reelection problems. It's led to a massive executive bureaucracy where regulations are written instead of laws.
