Proof that the US elections were rigged?

Halderman and co say that there was a discrepancy of 7 percent fewer Clinton votes in electronic-machine-counted districts as compared with paper ballot/optical counter districts (Nate Silver disputes this analysis). The discrepancy could swing the state for Clinton.

Rigged voting machines or not? Without details (and much work) we can't say if the prof is right or wrong. More then 40% of people have no understanding of statistics, and more then 60% have big problems with them. Anyway....

It is as simple as that: Do NOT use voting machines. There is NO possible way (at least known today) where you can have proofable AND voting privacy respecting machines. Paper is still the best technology available. You (and everyone else) can (watch the) count or recount, which is impossible in case of a computer. Yes, it may take a few hours more to get the count, but the next election is literally years away - you have that time, even at the speed of light!

And I would be ROFLing hard if that rigging was true and done by Russia. Say what you want about Putin, but he likes (and is good in) to make other politicians look like idiots. Especially those that are. And Russian propaganda understands humor, which is a myth to the US propaganda.
But it's far more likely it was just the usual stupidity and bugs those machines are always full of.

In related news, a federal judge has ruled that the Republican state government of Wisconsin undertook an unconstitutional redistricting project in 2012/14 that gerrymandered the state for the GOP, so that the Dems' 2012 popular vote of 51% only won them 39 of 99 seats, while the GOP's 51% in 2014 got them 63 of 99 seats.

Any country that allows such things to happen is far away from being a democracy. Just my 2 cents.
