Urgent/Dead and wounded in a run-over in Manhattan, New York
At least eight people were killed and 15 wounded in a pedestrian run-off in a cargo car in Manhattan, New York, ABC reported, quoting sources in the authorities.
Reuters quoted US police as saying it was treating the Manhattan incident as a terrorist act.
Media earlier reported shooting in the city, but photographs and videotapes later showed a car belonging to a household goods store on a track for bicycles. The car is likely to be rented.
According to the channel, police were able to arrest the suspect in the attack.
For its part, confirmed the New York police on its official website on Twitter the process of running, and said in a statement that "several people were killed and many injured."
