Huang Yi & KUKA: a man and robot dance duo [Video performances with TED]
Within the framework of the TED conference, where the most bold and innovative ideas are always discussed, a very unusual and entertaining performance took place, in which the art of dance and the science of engineering are in harmony.
On TED, YouTube has a video of this presentation, which we bring to your attention in this article. On the video, a Taiwanese artist, engineer and inventor Huang Yi dances with ... a robot KUKA.
More precisely, KUKA is more a robot arm. As described in the description of the video, Huang Yi himself was engaged in staging the show and programmed his mechanical partner to make the dance as natural as possible. The cellist Joshua Romana accompanied the dance duo. I must say that it turned out very well, although by the spectacularity before the presentation with the samurai robot Yaskawa Motoman-MH24 this number is still far away.
