White Nationalist Assaulted During Street Interview.
White nationalist Richard Spencer was assaulted during the inaugural festivities on Friday. He was talking to a reporter about the "white lives matter" movement during which he was being repeatedly heckled by passersby. They were saying things along the lines of " are you a Nazi " or "are you a neo Nazi", all the while denying the allegations.
While defending himself from the verbal attacks, suddenly a white male in a black hoodie and mask came up to his right and punched him square in the side of the face. The force was enough to make him end the interview and stun him for a little. It even drew a little blood, but overall he was fine. The attacker quickly fled the scene, gone as fast as he appeared.
For those of you unfamiliar with this character, Richard Spencer is the leader of the unofficial " alt-right" movement and was under political attack in result of his white nationalism and how he targeted professors. He also held a gathering of neo Nazis and white nationalists shortly after the election not far from the White House. After he was done with his speech, the all white crowd began to chant "hail trump" while raising their hands in a Nazi salute.
While its clear that he deserved the punch he recieved, the use of violence is never the solution. We are all intelligent enough to resolve matters in the countless other ways there are than to resort to violence. Let's all just get along.
