Twitter has closed 7 billion fake accounts
One of the most popular social media channels in the purification campaign was the Twitter. As part of the campaign, the micro-blogging site has closed 7 crore fake accounts in two months. The Twitter action has been taken to prevent the misuse of social media.
International media reports said that in May and June this year, 70 million (7 crore) more accounts have been closed. False news from these accounts was published.
Twitter has started taking action against fake accounts since October 017. In these two months, there has been a day where a million fake accounts have been closed every day. However, Twitter did not officially make any comment on this.
Ranking sites say that, in the shortest possible time, the number of users has come down a little over a year after the closure of so many accounts. But there was also no alternative way to prevent misuse, a Twitter official said.
The number of abusers was increasing day by day using this micro-blogging site. Numerous spam spreads. So, on Twitter, choosing the path of correctness.
In the last month Twitter announced some new tips and policies to fight against trolling, violence and extremism. Twitter says they are working to accelerate the safe policy and an average of 9.9 million fake accounts are being closed every week.
Twitter spokesman said that the company's information provided on Twitter in the first 4 months of the year has had a negative impact on account users and in future the number may increase further. So the refinement campaign has been run.
