Well said there amigo. Honestly the US is really rom what I see the country where this is preached the most in almost every sentences where it is absolutely irrelevant. On every description of a person there is a label 'latina lesbian woman' 'white christian male' or whatever and francly, because it is there people care out it it seems.
You description of what you need for your mexican permit seems totally legit and normal. Same here in Switzerland a job, the language, place to stay and where they can send your tax stuff to. No rocket science in there right!
That makes perfect sense to me. This used to make perfect sense throughout US history as well. Making it into a race issue distracts from the reason we have legal immigration, to begin with. The US is a country of immigrants who were joined together by common beliefs in our laws and language and is a great experiment of how people from all cultures can do that regardless of their background. It has worked for centuries but now we are supposed to believe we can't do that anymore.
I don't buy that story. The culture is being manipulated into believing we are different and lies to us so we fight against each other instead of the true oppressors which have mostly been governments.
