Lamborghini offers a "All Terrain" to its select customers

Lamborghini succumbed to the insatiable appetite of the main markets of the world for higher vehicles, of rough and aggressive appearance, with off-road inclinations and prices that exceed the six figures in dollars.

Although many still place the Range Rover launched in 1970 as the true forerunner when it comes to trucks with the ability to offer excellent off-road performance with relative interior luxury, it was the manufacturer's model based in Stuttgart, Germany; which started the current trend of offering infarction benefits and the ability to transport five passengers with all their luggage, to the most exclusive ski resort without having to sacrifice sensations at the wheel.

However, the last to join the race has been the Italian manufacturer Lamborghini, now owned by the Volkswagen Group, who has taken advantage of all the know-how of the Wolfsburg giant with regard to the manufacture of sport utility vehicles under the brands Audi and the aforementioned Porsche and Bentley to launch the Urus, a car they have called the "super SUV" able to overcome the barrier of 300 kilometers per hour.

Fans of the brand will know that the model that has just been launched, named in honor of the wild ancestor of the current fighting bulls, is not the first all-terrain vehicle of the brand based on Sant'Agata Bolognese. That honor corresponds to the impressive LM002 launched in 1986 and of which only 328 units were produced until 1993, with an exorbitant price for the time of USD 120,000 and a very chord nickname of "Rambo Lambo".

But with no intention of remaining anchored in the past, the new model arrives to represent the future of the ultra sporty 4X4, something that without a doubt manages to fulfill with thanks thanks to its silhouette that recalls a crouching feline, about to jump on its prey to devour it.

Under the bonnet, Lamborghini installed the first turbo charged engine of its history, a 4-liter V8 that it shares with other products of the VW Group but with its own design that seeks to make it more similar with a super sports car like the Hurricane, than with a commoner model. Audi With 641 horsepower, the Urus outperforms its close cousin the Bentayga in maximum speed and acceleration, despite having 4 fewer cylinders.

The interior features finishes in exotic leathers, wood, carbon fiber and metal among an infinite number of available options. A variety of screens integrate the board, among which are the corresponding to the instrumental, the central entertainment and navigation system and a third that controls the air conditioning among other functions.

Despite what its exterior body can indicate a priori, the interior offers enough space for four or five adults and their luggage, depending on the configuration chosen. The sport utility vehicle will go on sale in the US at the end of 2018 with an estimated price of USD 200,000, which places it at the same level as the Hurricane entry model, with a V10 engine.
