Imran Khan took oath as Prime Minister

Former cricket star Imran Khan took oath as Pakistan's 22nd Prime Minister Today at 10 am local time on Saturday the oath ceremony began with national anthem. Earlier, the Quran was recited first.

Imran Khan's rival candidate for the post of Prime Minister was Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif. In the voting, 96 members of the National Assembly voted for Shahbaz. PML-N has been accused of rigging since elections. The party got the second highest seat in the elections. The Pakistan People's Party (PPP), a former prime minister of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, won the third highest number of seats in the elections. PML-N and PPP also announced a joint strategy to work together to combine crusade in the elections. But the Prime Minister could not agree on the two parties.
