Get Ready To Be Deplatformed! - The Censorship of Alex Jones & Why It Matters
In this video, I report on the recent de-platforming of Infowars' Alex Jones among countless others from both sides of the spectrum by YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Apple, Spotify and others.
It has long been said that the answer to bad speech is more speech. However, there are a few companies who have garnered full control over the narrative. People for generations regurgitated every single point the mainstream media threw at them, so they somewhat decentralized their information by going to YouTube, Facebook and other places. Well, now YouTube, owned by Google which has gotten billion in government subsidies and can no longer be considered a private corporation has full control over information. A government monopoly on information. With that, they are committing a modern day book burning. They are wiping creators out.
First they demonetized and it didn't work, so next they deplatform as if to say no one can stop them because they don't need public demand, they have the government.
This is an incredibly slippery slope. Something that people on both side of the political spectum/circle as well as outside of it agree is deeply concerning.
But there are solutions to this madness.
Steemit and DTube are far more decentralized social medias and streaming video alternatives. They are on the blockchain and people actually make cryptocurrency by the upvote of their video.
While people are getting booted from YouTube for simply REPORTING on the Alex Jones termination, as the tech bubble gets ready to burst, as a revolution of decentralization takes hold, we only have one way to go, up. And we will.

It starts here where the big social media companies test the waters, but soon it will expand to far more commentators. This will include Conservatives and right-wingers, but I think many on the Left underestimate how much it could negatively impact us too. Who is to say that a company will not be run by a former cop one day who will ban on the BLM groups? Let alone Anarchists and Communists. Lot's of people could be considered offensive by other groups, and a lot of time more oppressed people have less of a say, ironically making the left's effort to censor Jones counterproductive in the long run.
Its funny people freak out over this censorship and complain about first amendment violations. I do not remember any ruling stating that the first amendment was protected online.
We are finally seeing a scary flex of Terms of Argrement when you sign up for a regulated social media sites that are totally within their rights to silence users. The whole Alex Jones being silenced is far more scary because he had an audience, a voice. When they silence the small users before they have the platform it will be scary, and slowly skew our views of the platforms. Social Engineering at its worst right here.
Sad. First amendment stifled by advertisers.
No Dtube version, do I see that correctly?
This screams for a new solution for independent media. Steem is great but a dedicated SMT project for that would be even better. I have thought quite a bit about that before and I think making this a reality is actually not that complicated if the Anarchapulco crew is pullin gthis off together.
Sing it brother! If they can actually get away with this kind of censorship it sets a legal precedence that would enable the legal suffocation of ALL BASIC MEDIA. Including the controlled media. Actually giving US the legal ability to stop their "mass mind control" machine.
It can't take hold. This is the big stand we should be eager for. Force the government corporation to follow the Law. Fight this issue legally and they will have to reveal more of themselves.

I think we all just have to migrate from YouTube, Facebook , and other compromised social media sites . We have to start building new ones like STEEMIT , MINDS , BitChute , and more to come . Free market competition is good . I’m sure YouTube will be around for a while as long as they have the best kittens , and puppies videos . But I think the world is ready for a much more sophisticated method of communicating like blockchain . De- centralized technology scares them , and thats good for us . No one can block you or shut your channel down for what you say . The future is here , and Facebook and YouTube are the past . So let them die like MySpace did .
