Entire Country's Internet Goes Down - What This Could Mean For Us
In this video, I talk with author and economic analyst John Sneisen @TheEconomicTruth about the recent reports of the entire country of Mauritania's internet going offline following a submarine cable mysteriously breaking.
While no one knows how it happened, it can shine a light on a massive problem within countries like the United States where the electric grid is more than 50 years outdated and can cause a huge problem. Of course the internet can go down anywhere and if the government has control of the strands of wire on the sea floor connecting countries, it can cause some massive issues.
The electric grid in the US is incredibly terrible. We can thank government monopolization of the sector and therefor the utter lack of incentive for innovation and competition.
On the free market, this problem could be a minor one. With alternative marvels across the board on the market we wouldn't all be stuck on one inefficient outdated government monopolized grid which is actually quite dangerous too in the event of a major solar flare.

I think the big grids are really a subsidy to large industries and benefit individual users very little. virtually no innovation on a smaller scale has happened because of the public utility's monopoly on energy production. The system is indeed fragile. The supposed smart grid solution will enable total surveilence and the cost will be carried by the public while the profits are private.

Grateful for your effort towards sharing good news! That will positively affect not only us but future generations! For years i have found the centralized access to internet SO frustrating. And, this 5G roll out upon us. Bleh!! Do you have any links on info that can help us protect ourselves from the 5G? I am just wondering how to best mitigate the effects from it which I think are already happening to some degree where I live. Cars are wireless, my blender has bluetooth! Yikes!! I know and use organite. And, regular detox protocols. But, feel i am missing something.
Just imagine the rust belt infrastructure going back as early as 1890s . That includes cities like Milwaukee , Chicago , Detroit , Cincinnati etc .
