Yeah it’s really sad. Government bureaucrats want to wail about how we need more sustainability, yet their own policies obfuscate the actual cost of goods and services which means it’s harder for companies to innovate because if they’re trying to develop more sustainable products but the cost of those components is obfuscated by subsidies and when those subsidies disappear those companies realize they didn’t have a viable product and now they have to absorb the cost, or raise their prices to the point where no one wants to buy their product and in the end the environment is if anything worse off because of dumb investments. I’m not saying this product is an example, but just a thought.
