The confession of two students confessed to accepting money by kidnapping and other students involved

Two students of Jagannath University (JB) gave confessional statements in the court for extortion money laundering. On Sunday, the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's court (CMM) recorded the statements and sent them to jail.

Two of the accused are Jagannath University's 2013-14 academic year's 9th batch Mathematics student Rakibul Islam Riyadh (22) and the 2015-16 academic year's 10th batch student Nur-e-Alam Nishan (21).

Investigating officer and Kotwali police inspector Moutuet Hawlader said in the first light that two people were arrested on the charge of kidnapping a person and collecting them. They acknowledged the incident and gave confessional statement under section 164 of the court.

According to the case information, a shop named Abu Sahedul Islam came to Sadarghat on Thursday to buy goods. He had 2 lakh 72 thousand taka. After the end of the procession, when he came in front of Jagannath University, some unknown people kept him abducted from the road. Later, they want funding from Saheedul's owner, Rowshan Parvez. Raushan Parvez filed the case with the Kotwali Police Station on that day.
