Killer Nuns of the 1960's - Worse than Priests

We have been hearing a lot about Catholic priests in the news today. Atrocities from the past being revealed. But what about the Nuns, have they ever done anything as bad as their Male counterparts?
The only thing I remember hearing about Nuns is how they enjoyed hitting kids knuckles with rulers. That was just an illusion to what some were really doing.
