Nice blog. Why a river can't be a person too? In German the word Fluss (river) has a masculine grammatical gender, however there are masculine and female river names: der Rhein, die Donau.... What brings me to the moon and sun. In German they are masculine and female beings, der Mond, die Sonne. But in French it is the other way round. Whatever we call them, the need to be respected !
