As Bitcoin’s Price Rises Security Shouldn’t Be Taken for GrantedsteemCreated with Sketch.

Recently there have been big reports of people losing their bitcoins to hackers and malware as bitcoin’s price continues to grow in price. It is safe to assume that systems and individuals trying to steal people’s bitcoin reserves will persistently increase because the decentralized cryptocurrency becomes more valuable to thieves.

This is somewhat transparently obvious, but bears frequent repetition- but FAR better would be to offer some real advice to boost security, either for individuals or the platform- even something as obvious as controlling physical access to yourself and your hardware.

Real criminal tendencies are predatory. Predators will always be opportunistic, so even minor impediments to realizing their intent(s) frequently enough pushes them off to pursue other prey. Given the opportunity to engage in "criminal" activity that would damage the deep state but benefit a very great number of people, I think many Steemians would co-operate to build a better future in a non-predatory manner- and I think that's the antithesis of criminality.
