Laziness as a sign of Intelligence? Agree or disagree?

in #news7 years ago (edited)

I remember a few years back, my "Principles of Marketing" instructor told me that if you want to be a good marketer, you want to be as LAZY as possible. She emphasized on the word "LAZY". My IT instructor once told me the same thing. The key to an E-business entrepreneur is laziness. The key to a good Admin is laziness..lol

Back then, I never really understood that until I realize what they actually meant. It has alot to do with working smarter instead of working harder. Sometimes working smarter is often disguised as purely laziness; in the sense that the average person would view it.

Sometimes........an indication of laziness with a few other signs is a sign of intelligence.
Ironically, I researched this and found some actual science to it...lmao

To those whom understand how to apply technical or marketing strategies efficiently, you might not succeed as quick as others, but over time, you build upon your personal brand. With technology and the right mind.......you're always working efficiently. The thing is.......if you're in the business of any kind, are you doing it efficiently enough to the point where you're seeing better results each time?

Are you straight up lazy lazy or are you lazy smart?
Either way, are you lazy trying to do good or are you lazy trying to do bad.

In the world of tech, are you able to write scripts or codes to perform your task for you while you just sit back and work on maintenance? In the marketing world, are you lazy enough to utilize leverage? Not leverage as in people (business wise), but leverage as in money? Reminds me of....good debt and bad debt. Assets.....Liabilities......etc (reference to Rich Dad, Poor Dad)

leverage.........
psychologically.............it's an influence
...philosophically it's a cause and effect
.......everyone is leveraging everyone in a literal sense, but when it comes to efficiency.
What makes efficiency, efficient?
Well.....that depends on what you're doing.

How do you define laziness and efficiency?
Do you agree with the article I posted up on laziness?
