Come for 7 days expired products and not intoxicate
One out of three plates of food is wasted, resulting in 1.300 million tonnes of food end up in the trash each year, according to UN data. The fact that the food we throw garbage systematically whose expiration date has already expired several days ago contributes to inflate this figure.
As a sign of rejection of waste size, Casey Williams, editor of The Huffington Post, has spent seven days eating vanquished to sensitize public opinion about the volume of food they throw away products.
Experiment
Your diet during this week was not very different from what you usually consume. He ate lots of expired eggs and took a lot of soy milk a large box of expired for about a month, as indicated by the label.
"It would have taken a prize for the best taste, but combined quite well with corn tortilla past," Williams wrote in the article which recounts his experience.
At no time he was ill during the experiment, or after consuming chicken or bacon expired or after ingenir wilted cabbage leaves.
"Although the shelf life of products had expired, most of what I ate did not seem terrible, but a peach. Of course I tried unpleasant tastes once or twice and perhaps have lost some friends disgusted by this idea, but some of the foods were really delicious, "Williams explains.
