Ideally 1 Master Only Teaches 10 Children

Banda Aceh - Governor of Aceh, Irwandi Yusuf, said ideally maximally per 10 students are trained by one teacher with high qualification. The recitation teachers of these Qurans were recruited by Irwandi to his government last term. Authority over them is currently under the districts and cities. Nevertheless, for the past 10 months they have worked without pay. For that reason, they together with the Coalition of Barisan Guru Bersatu meet Irwandi to complain about the issue.

In response, Governor Irwandi summoned the Aceh Secretariat in the hope that their complaints will be accommodated and made as an evaluation of the government.

"We will evaluate the whole issue and we will enter in the 2018 APBK," said Secretary of Public.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Coalition of Barisan Guru Bersatu, Sayuti Aulia, said that the issue should be immediately addressed. "The issue of salary if it can not be this year can be for next year, but if the SK should be permitted immediately," said Sayuti.

Responding to this matter, Assistant III of Setda Aceh, Kamaruddin you who accompanied Irwandi said that in the near future his side will call the Regent and Mayor whose area has not yet fulfilled the rights of the contract teacher and the teacher of the Koran.

"We will write to the regents and mayors as well as the education office to reaffirm the issue of the right of educators," Kamaruddin said.

Secretary General of Program Read Quran Writing, Azhari, explained that the program initiated by Irwandi is one of the governor's efforts in tackling the blind reading of the Quran. Because it is suitable for the strengthening of Islamic Shari'ah, Azhari hopes that the program can be promulgated as a form of affirmation so that every government in the Regency and city applies it.

"If it could be the program should be a priority program and included in the school curriculum," said Azhari.
