Daily Prophet's Istighfar

Telling us Abu Al Yemen has told us the Shu'aib of Az Zuhri he said; had told me Abu Salamah bin Abdurrahman he said; Abu Hurairah said; I heard the Messenger of Allah say: "By Allah, indeed I have berighighar (asking forgiveness) and repent to Allah in one day more than seventy times." [Hr.Bukhari]

The lessons contained in the hadith:

The above 1-Hadith motivates to increase repentance and istighfar.
2- The Messenger of Allaah ‘alaihi wa sallam was the best creature in the sight of Allah and his past and future sins were forgiven, but he still had 70 times to teach his people and to elevate him to Allah.
3- Continue to multiply repentance and istighfar will eliminate sins and mistakes that can be done accidentally.
4- The istighfar number mentioned in the hadith above does not indicate this number as a limitation in istighfar, but what is meant is the number of the Prophet sallallaahu aih alaihi wa sallam berighighar.

Hadith themes related to the Koran:

  • The nature of people who are pious. After falling in and committing a sin, he immediately converted to repentance

والذين إذا فعلوا فاحشة أو ظلموا أنفسهم ذكروا الله فاستغفروا لذنوبهم ومن يغفر الذنوب إلا الله ولم يصروا على ما فعلوا وهم يعلمون

"And (also) those who when they do evil or persecute themselves they remember Allah, then ask forgiveness for their sins and who can forgive sins other than Allah - And they do not continue their evil deeds, while they know. "(QS.Ali Imran: 135)
