The Philippines: hopeless and helpless under President Duterte

This is what the opposition is portraying my country to the world, headed by no other than the Vice President herself, but is there some truth to it?
Let us see. The Duterte Administration at present have some economic and development program, termed as DuterteNomics, which aims to:
1. Grow the economy sustainably and inclusively
2. Solve poverty
3. Ease the congestion in Mega Manila
These are in line with President Duterte's goal to provide job and business opportunities to millions of Filipinos so that immigration and working overseas become a choice instead of a necessity.
Now, how achievable are these? We have the funding. The President's recent trips to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar have more than a trillion pesos worth of investments.
We must prepare the economy to provide meaningful jobs for them or else risk building an alienated and discontented generation. - Secretary Carlos Dominguez
This aims to transform the Philippines into a high-middle income economy come 2022.
