RE: Senate Votes to Legalize Hemp After 80 Years of Prohibition

in #news6 years ago

What is hemp?
Most of us will probably equate hemp plants with marijuana plants. Why is that, because hemp is derived from the genus cannabis.

The obvious difference between hemp and marijuana is in the THC content it contains. Hemp has a low THC level when compared to marijuana. So the THC chemicals in the hemp that can make this hangover have a low intoxicating effect, in contrast to marijuana. This is based on the results of drug tests that have been done by researchers who compare the two types of plants. However, still people's views have been covered by the shadows of marijuana. So people are not aware of any surprising health benefits on hemp seeds.

As the author of the book "The Plant Powered Diet",

Sharon Palmer said that hemp seeds can provide many health benefits for us, because in hemp seeds contain Omega-6 and Omega-3, as well as essential fatty acids that are useful for health heart. Also closely related in the prevention of inflammation (anti-inflammatory). Seeds can be consumed along with other foods, such as salads, desserts, cereals, yogurt, and breads. Hemp seeds are also the basic ingredients for making butter, protein powder, milk, and soap.

For you who do not know what are the health benefits contained in hemp seeds, the following 5 benefits include:

  1. As a source of protein and fiber, so useful to slow digestion, which prevents spikes in blood sugar and therefore hemp seeds can support your body's energy.
  2. When sown in cereal or fruit at breakfast, protein and fiber also help keep you full, which will prevent you from snacking and make your diet run well.
  3. Omega-6 fatty acids contained therein can stimulate the skin and hair growth, maintain bone health, regulate metabolism, and assist brain function.
  4. Omega-3 fatty acids contained therein can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, lower blood pressure, and possibly even prevent Alzheimer's disease. The hemp seed is one of several Omega-3s found in plant sources.
  5. Essential amino acids contained in hemp seeds can improve muscle control, mental function, and maintenance of normal body cells, tissues, muscles of the body and other organs.

Apart from all the bad stereotypes already nested in the community, hemp seeds are a source of health benefits that have been neglected. So to make it well known to people is very difficult. At least, with this information, you know better, that hemp with marijuana is very different.
