A voting system on the block chain means only that they have to be more careful in SELECTING the candidates, so they can be cool with either one.
This is actually much cheaper and more effective for them. They don't have to waste resources on bussing in voters or bribing officials.
Voila, money saved, happy sheeple! Democracy works...
