The Board of Control for Cricket in India has accepted the appeal of Captain Virat Kohli in which Kohli had said that the cricketers' wives and girlfriends should be allowed to accompany the tour. The Cricket Administrative Committee has allowed cricketers to take their wives and girlfriends after 10 days starting the tour. After this, the cricketers' wives and girlfriends can live together during the entire tour.

Recently, Team India captain Virat Kohli appealed to the BCCI to make changes in the rules to take the wife and girlfriends together. Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) adopted No Wives-Girlfriend policy. After this, the BCCI had made this rule by changing the policy that cricketers, coaches and support staff can take their wife and girlfriends with them for an overseas tour for two weeks.
