Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) conducted a survey of happiness index based on Marital Status. It turns out that unmarried people (singles) are much happier than people who already have a partner.
"The Index of Happiness of unmarried people tends to be higher (71,53) than the population with other marital status," said Head of BPS, Kecuk Suhariyanto, at his office, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 15, 2017.

Furthermore, seen from the Subdimension of Personal Life Satisfaction, the unmarried population has the highest index (68.36) compared to the population with other marital status. However, in the Subdimension of Social Life Satisfaction, the highest index is found in the married population (76.47).
