Seems quite odd that this happening, not so sure if it's fake news, misunderstood or simply them being dumb... Yes those people are not paying taxes, but they should be treated a little bit better, they were born there, right? I don't believe in equality as it's stupid and doesn't make sense in the real world, but it still sucks if it is the case that this actually happened.
I suppose the equal right to be sheltered during a natural cataclysm isn't as stupid as expecting everyone to have 'equal' homes to begin with.
Frankly, homeless folks might be far more competent to deal with disasters than the less economically challenged, cuz practice. Might be they'd be pretty beneficial to include in groups that had never opened a can of food without an electric can opener, cooked it without a stove or oven, or had to carry their water with them on a daily basis.
