What Blows My Mind About The Alabama Jail Escape

While surfing Twitter today I clicked on AP's article about the Jail Escape. One of the 12 inmates has yet to be captured, do you know what this inmate is in prison for? The horrible crime of:

"Kilpatrick, of Cordova, had been jailed on charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia."

You have got to be kidding me, in jail for a harmless personal habit that should be nobody's business. This is what is wrong with the prison system.
and:

"The manhunt for the last remaining fugitive, Bradley Andrew Kilpatrick, 24, was getting some airborne help from a state helicopter."

I wonder how much that costs. What is wrong with law enforcement thinking in this country?

Perhaps it's the drug companies pushing their harmful drugs, afraid of losing out on billions.

Thanks for saving your citizens from harm Alabama..., if you are going to play that game, arresting over-eaters might be the better choice.
