RE: The Tech Purge Is Here And Truth Is The Target

in #news6 years ago (edited)

Steem doesn't use Godaddy as a host. Steem is a blockchain. Steem is decentralized even further than bitcoin. Can Steemit.com the domain be shut down? Yes.. Can they do it to Partiko? No... Why? ... RPC nodes, IPs, this way, Steem users don't even use a domain, or they dont have to. Simple as that. These DAPPS like Partiko should put their code open source. Redundancy . Once things are on the internet, and people desire them. they are almost impossible to take off unless they are against federal law. (Steem is a public service similar to water or power). The next step , is development of IPFS , I backed up this video to our IPFS Service, we offer free backups to 480p content (decentralized around the world) and charge 10 bucks a month for Source and 1080p content.

Why do people fear steem, IPFS so much? It's because this is the first time streaming content can really be virtually immutable if done properly.

Government Can Delete Archived Posts After 7 Days?

If something on Steem is illegal or something, then can it be removed out of the blockchain? I've heard people say no. I've heard people say it can be hidden, like muted, like blocked, off the apps, the extensions, the dapps, like off Steemit.com or Busy, org or other websites or apps that are built on the platform of the Steem blockchain but that the actual bits, the actual data, the source code, that was stored into comments, posts, into Steem, after 7 days, is archived into the blockchain.

Decentralized Access?

Yes, I agree, that Steem is currently the best. The blockchain is tough to destroy like Bitcoin. It is like a web, a chain. But it is stronger than the weakest link in the blockchain chain. I do not know if China or the NWO or others do or may have or get better quantum computers and artificial intelligence and other things to go after blockchain systems, etc. Alex Jones is not really promoting Steem. I feel like he is not getting it yet. I was watching Info Wars today & he encouraged it a little but encourages people to be smart when battling globalists, technocracy, etc. Alex interviewed Andrew Torba of Gab today. Yesterday too.

Alex Jones of Info Wars.

Alex is half-right in some ways. Alex does encourage people to try blockchain alternatives to social ghetto networks, etc, on the side. I encourage more people to teach Alex more about the blockchain. I feel like Alex does not totally get some of the fundamental basics of how it works. Maybe I'm wrong about that and I hope so. I hope Alex gets it but it can seems like he is not totally there yet. Other people too may not totally get Steem, minds, Bitcoin, Bit Torrent, etc. Upvoted. Thanks. I'm Oatmeal.

The data cannot be removed from the blockchain no, But on the IPFS hash, the file can be taken offline, by the user, lack of ability/willingness to seed by the end users, or govt taking down the nodes. But the original post is always there with that original ipfs hash.

Thanks for clarifying that; I wasn't sure about the actual host, sounds more like steemit is intrinsically self-hosted then making my point moot.

I like the idea of IPFS, but is one of those things that needs wide adoption to attract wide adoption... I would expect initial growth to be slow. Once people start getting dinged for acting as a server node, that might detract some users.

Anyway, thanks for clarifying my error.
