IS SegWit activated yet?
On July 21, miners took the first step to activate the SegWit protocol, telling their miners that they should update their nodes to BIP141, because if they do not they will be left with orphaned blocks, they will be divided into two periods, one for Start upgrading the nodes and the other to start working with them.
SegWit is a protocol that prevents malleability attacks and leaves 65% of space in each block of change.
For this protocol to be activated they need 1916 blocks and a 95% hash of bitcoin processing, if it does not stop being eligible and another will be activated, until the moments take 1384 subtracting about 532 blocks, they currently carry a 70% of objective , And it's just under 8 days to complete it.
Recall that the new protocols that are trying to implement are to reduce the costs and transaction times of bitcoins that has been a strong impediment to evolve this currency with more value in the market until the times.
