is there really any chance Romney loses, with or without the endorsement? My feeling about this was that it was more like "Romney will win, so I may as well endorse him" like he felt like he wouldn't succeed at opposing him so he pretends he's cool with it so that it doesn't look like one of his rivals won a big election and he's mad about it and wasn't able to stop it
and saying nothing kind of pretty much suggests opposing him
that may well be true from Trump's perspective, but would have been nice to see Romney maintain somme backbone then
ya, he maybe doesn't want to play with fire.. like however small the chance that he would lose, he'd hate to give Trump that satisfaction.. plus the people of Utah may be polarized in support of Trump at this point and rejecting it could play poorly (like they might not really appreciate the backbone aspect relative to not supporting the party or the country or whatever) and introduce some possibility of losing
I hear you for sure.. oddities of politics I guess..
