Katy Perry is the child of two ministers. Its odd that she's the child of two ministers because women were forbidden to preach by at least one of The Twelve Apostles. Katy started out releasing a Gospel Record before moving into Pop Music. Katy claims she wanted to be "the Amy Grant" of the music industry. Amy Grant according to Wikipedia,
